1Manual leveling mechanism is a problem
By Bruno Soldier
I bought this at another store, and was never able to use it because of problems with the leveling mechanism.

The base that is manually leveled is somehow spring loaded, and you are supposed to twirl the two knurled knobs to adjust the level. I was able to change the level of the base initially, but then couldn't return to the initial neutral setting.

Multiple turns of the knobs are required for only a little movement and the knurls are too smooth and difficult to turn quickly.

Eventually, I became confused as to which way I was supposed to be turning the knob to make the unit more level in one plane or another, and there was no way to quickly zero the position to start over again.

Next time I'll get one with an automatic leveler.

Also, this is only for indoor use. Despite the large range reported by the manufacturer, the laser simply isn't powerful enough for use in daylight.

I took it back to the store.
