3The Tripod is light duty!!!!

The actual Laser level andd detector are great products. The tripod is a cheap piece of junk and it arrived in the case broken. When buying the kit 40-6517 I required the tripod and was dissapointed to find it was broken and unusable. I contacted the USA warranty number and they sent a replacement out. I will see when it gets here. The upgraded tripod should be part of this kit not the cheap toy one.

3Johnson CS people were easy to work with

the unit originally sent would not calibrate. However the folks at Johnson did a great job at making it right. I returned original unit via a FEDEX return label they emailed me and then received the new unit within a week. The replacement unit was perfectly calibrated. I have used is twice and it has served it's purpose well in an outdoor field marking contour lines as well as laying out a horizontal line in a bedroom. This would be a 5 star if the original unit had been able to calibrate.
