5Good Light-Duty tripod
By Pen
I think that you get a lot for your money with this tripod. It is very light weight, folds and unfolds easily, and is very easy to adjust. The elevator column feature is great for fine tuning the height of your laser. You adjust the extension of the column (and the height of your instrument) with a smooth-acting hand crank. A bubble level makes it very easy to get the tripod within range for the automatic leveling feature of your level to kick in. Then the whole thing folds and packs easily into the included nylon zipper bag.

With all of that, this is definitely not a jobsite tripod. Everything save for the legs and the instrument attachment threads is plastic. The cam locks for the leg extensions, the top assembly, and the hand crank for the elevator column are all plastic. It doesn't seem likely that the tripod could survive too many knocks on the jobsite, and it would not support the weight of a surveyor's instrument. It is, however, great for homeowners, hard-core DIYers, and professionals such as interior designers who don't have to worry about distracted workers walking into it or knocking it with lumber. Its light-weight and smooth operation make it a cinch to set up and pack away, and it is very stable while in use.

I gave it 5 stars because of the price. I don't think that you could find more in a tripod at a thirty dollar price point.

5Pretty good value

Real handy for weird applications. For the price it was quite a complicate piece of equipment. I use it , with a Bosch Lazer level.

4Excellent tripod for the money

I bought this product for its fair price and because it was what I was looking for ( I needed it for my laser). It s light, resistant, it adjusts easily to different positions, and it is easy to store and carry because it includes the case. The product met my expectations.
